Christmas Fun & Winning a Challenge

I cannot believe that there are only five more days until Christmas! I am all done shopping, pretty much done wrapping and just have a few little stocking stuffers to buy. My hubby has been off the last few days with me and we have been shopping, going for dinner and breakfast together, staying up late watching Christmas movies, finishing our wrapping, and just spending lots of time together. It has been so much fun - no work and all play!! The girls went with us last night and we had dinner at Susan's Courtside Cafe' - it was really sweet and all decorated for Christmas.

Guess what else??? I won Challenge for last week over at the Chit Chat Challenge for "My Favorite Things" layout - that I posted here last week. I am so excited! I now get to be in the "Ultimate CCC Contest" after the 12 weeks are over! You really should check out their site and play along - great challenges and lots of inspiration over their. The link to their site is http://chitchatchallenge.typepad.com/. They are sending me a nice little RAK too! I love getting surprises in the mail. (If this link does not work - it is listed under "blogs I read".)

The above Christmas tree is the real Christmas tree we picked out this year and the dolls on the chair are dolls my mom made my girls when they were younger. I am glad that my girls are the kind that love and cherish special things and are always wanting to save their things for when they are older for their children. Of course, my husband hates this because this means many trips to the attic. Below is a picture of a village I made about 12-13 years ago when I did ceramics. Back then I did not scrapbook with my friends - I lived in NY and did ceramics with my friends! I miss doing this sometimes and have some things that I really love - this is one of them.
