Some new layouts....

I received my first kit from Studio Calico this month and I just love it! It was one of my Christmas presents - a subscription from SC. I have made three layouts so far and love all the different products, especially the wood veneer alphas...love! I have also started Project Life. My word for 2012 is, "Commitment" and I am already having trouble with PL. It's a lot of work! We will see.

Next month I am going to a weekend crop at my lss and I am looking forward to it. I rarely go to things like that as I never get anything done but it will be fun to be with friends. Did I forget to mention it is at the hotel in the Mall? So, shopping and breaks will be fun! lol

Happy New Year!! I cannot believe 2012 is here! 2011 was a pretty good year. We celebrated our 25th anniversary and had a wonderful time in Boston and Cape Cod! Below is a photo of us taking on Cape Cod. I decided to make a layout and frame it in a Prima Frame for my bedroom. We changed the colors to whites/creams and I am loving the softness of our bedroom now.

I also have just got a subscription to Studio Calico Kits and I am very excited to get my first one starting this month! This year I also want to focus more on my camera and learn, learn, learn!! I received Lightroom 3 for my birthday and I am hoping to learn how to edit my photos more, as well as take better pictures.

Two Daughter mini's side by side.....

I wanted to make a mini of each of my daughters using four of my favorite photos that I have taken of them in the last two years. I wrote verses/scriptures behind each page and in the envelope is a letter to each of them in their mini album. I used a lot of my scraps left over from recent things I created. The beautiful saying about daughters is a free download from, "Dandee Designs". These were such a pleasure to make as I love anything "girly"!! Thanking God big time for two beautiful daughters on the inside and outside.

Charlie and I leave soon for our 25th Anniversary Trip to Boston/Cape Cod/Martha's Vineyard!! I am so excited!!! It is all I think about. Praying for a wonderful time together and that my girls are fine while I am gone. lol Thank God for my mom who is staying at our house taking care of things.

Two mini albums I have been working on. The first is a Travel journal for our trip to Boston/Cape Cod for our 25th Anniversary! I don't want to forget a moment of it. We are so excited and have finalized our travel plans - yay!!! The second is the cover to a Christmas mini that I created for Scrappy Boutique - the best online and local scrapbooking store ever! I love that I get to design for them - they go to CHA and ALWAYS have the newest and best of everything! I will share the pages inside the Christmas mini sometime....but it is August still. lol

Some more layouts for Scrappy Boutique! I had not designed with, "My Mind's Eye" or "We R Memory Keepers" lines for the store before and I really enjoyed these two so much. What beautiful colors! I picked up the products yesterday afternoon and managed to create the two layouts last night while watching the Red Sox beat Texas again! Yay!! Looking forward to working on my Christmas mini for the store tonight while watching them again tonight.

***On a side note, I was so surprised to see a comment from a friend, Debbie, from way back when I lived in upstate NY and we worked together and laughed all the time together too! I loved seeing your comment and would love to get in touch again. Been so long!!

My two sweet nieces are moving to Texas!!! I am going to miss them and their little brother so much! Not to forget my little sister, Suzie!! I love them all so much and we are such a close family. I love this sweet picture of Sophie that I took last week. I can't believe in a few months she will be 11 years old! We have had her since 6 weeks after she was born and she has been the most wonderful part of our lives. I never knew that I could love a pet so much and that she would be such a part of my heart. What a sweetie! I also found some photos of my girls that I took about 8 years ago that I loved and decided to make a wall hanging for my scrapbook room...loved when my girls were that young! Shelby comes home next week for a visit and we are all happy and excited! No school, no work....just fun play time!! I hope you have having a fabulous summer too!!

We are looking for a car for her now. I can't believe how time flies. Looking forward to summer, trips to the beach, Shelby coming home for a visit, and going to Boston and Cape Cod! So excited! A little canvas I made using my Cricut Expression for my scrapbook room. Been finding some time to scrapbook for "me" and I am enjoying it very much. Been working on a family mini too.

School is out for summer and I am looking forward to relaxing! Chelsey is getting ready to go into 11th grade and we are getting her a car/suv/truck soon so she will be driving on her own. So proud of her this year and her making the National Honor Society and being chosen for leadership class. This year she is also going to church camp for the first time....Daytona Beach! Shelby is coming to visit the end of July and I cannot wait to see her! We all miss her so very much. Scottie and she will both be coming home for Thanksgiving.

I was so happy when I received an email asking me to be a part of the House of Art Design Team! They are a new monthly kit club that will be debuting their first kit on March 1st. The next two weeks will be the start of a Housewarming Party and a Blog Hop with prizes! There are some really talented ladies that I get to design with...so happy to be a part of this wonderful group. More details will be coming to you next week on how you can be a part of the fun too.

Also, I wanted to share some new layouts I made for my local Scrapbooking Store, Scrappy Boutique, using some of the new American Crafts, Pebbles Inc. and Webster's Pages. I have so much stuff still and will definitely be making more layouts/projects with these. Also, in the next couple of months, Scrappy Boutique will also be launching an online store! So happy for them!

I love this line....so many wonderful embellishments! I need to make a couple more layouts still. If you notice...I did not add any bows or real looking flowers to these. I really like how they turned out too.

Game Time.....

Charlie and I will be married 25 years this year!! And, guess where we are spending our 25th anniversary? At Fenway Park watching the Boston Red Sox!!! Sooo excited!!! We are going to spend a few days in Boston and see a couple of games, the sights, etc...and then go for a few days to Cape Cod or Martha's Vineyard and stay at a bed and breakfast. We are very excited! Charlie and I were talking a couple of weeks ago and he said he never would have thought that the girl he married almost 25 years would want to spend her 25th anniversary at a ballfield. I really love baseball....I think it is because my girls are both fabulous softball players - one a catcher/shortstop and the other a pitcher/shortshop....love watching them the most!!!

I had some time to scrapbook a couple of layouts the last couple of nights while Chelsey was studying for exams. Of course, I wanted to do one about the Red Sox. LOL

I cannot believe it is 2011 already!! I am so ready for it and am praying for God's Blessings on all of our lives. I have chosen my word for this year - JOY. It means so many different things to me and I am taking Ali's Edwards, "one little word" online class for the year - Thanks to a gift from Stacey at Scrappy Boutique. Very excited about this. Last year my word was, "faith" and it really was a good word for me.

Yesterday I made a mini album using the new Making Memories Valentine line and some of American Crafts bloomers....love how it turned out. I used photos from the past year and half of Charlie and me.

It's funny because I don't scrapbook too many about myself but have done a few lately. lol Had fun with both of these lines and again am so thankful to be deisigning for my lss Scrappy Boutique. They are the best to me.

Today is my daugher's first wedding anniversary! I cannot believe that a year ago today we were having the most wonderful time at her wedding!! I miss her so much. Two weeks from tomorrow and she will be home for a visit!! YAY!!

Thanksgiving is at my house this year with all the family...should be 20+ of us and since Shelby will not be home for Christmas, I am going to have my house decorated so it is festive and pretty! I cannot wait to start!

Had such a great weekend with my family. We went to church this morning and it was a beautiful service! Hope your weekend was wonderful!!!

I have been so blessed by so many good things lately!! Thanking God big time!! First, Shelby is coming home for 10 days for Thanksgiving!! YAY!!! Miss her so much!! I also got some health reports back after tests/procedures that were really good, a new PT Cruiser Convertible - love it!!, I was so fortunate to take Karen Russell's one day photography workshop at Scrappy Boutique and learned so much, Someone very sweet and thoughtful sent me a Gypsy - Yep!! Gonna be published in the Scrapbook Trends Simply Handmade Idea Book for April, designing with the most beautiful products for my lss, Scrappy Boutique....so many wonderful blessings! And today we sold my old car!! WhooHoo!! Below are some recent layouts I did for my lss. Hope you are all having a fabulous week too!!

Two Mini's to share....

I wanted to share two mini albums that I have made recently! These are just a few pages from each album from our vacation to Montana with the new Teresa Collins line and the other of my daughter's wedding, I made this past weekend with the Pink Paislee line that they partnered with House of 3 on! Both beautiful lines!! I made both of them for my local scrapbook store - Scrappy Boutique. I have been so fortunate that they have asked me to design with some wonderful lines that are coming since CHA!!

Our life is going pretty good!! Starting to feel fall weather in the air and my daughter, Shelby, is coming home for Thanksgiving!! I am so super excited about this!! Also, planning a girls weekend to Savannah next weekend with my mom, aunt, sister, nieces, cousins, daughter......gonna be wonderful! Staying in a beach house on Tybee Island together!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! I love three day weekends but it is always so hard to go back to work on Tuesday. I wanted to share a banner I made for my daughter's bedroom using the Maya Road Birdcage mini and Fancy Pants Wishful Thinking papers. Both are found in the Thoughts 2 paper store too. They have such a shabby chic feel to them and the mini is actually a really nice size too. I used a ton of embellishments on this banner. So girly, shabby and fun to make! I also made a layout of my daughter and son-in-law using the Wishful Thinking papers and embellies. These papers have such a shabby chic feel to them and are just gorgeous. My pictures do not do them justice.

I have really been loving these Page Backgrounds! They come in so many styles and colors to go with all your layouts. I used the Block Bracket one here in black and added all sorts of goodies to this layout of my daughter and her husband on their wedding day. There are so many possibilities with these page backgrounds which I hope to show you in the near future. I have been working on some fun things with them. I also used the Kaiser Kraft Chipboard Alpha and painted them and then added a clear coat to make them shine.

Having Faith...

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a little canvas that I made for my daughter's room. It is 3x3 in size and I add some crackle paint to it, cut those adorable strawberries out of the October Afternoon paper and popped them up with 3-D glue dots. I also cut the background flower out with my Serenade Cricut Cartridge. My daughter picked the word, "faith" as her word for the year so I wanted to make her a little something to remember. It's very summery and goes perfectly in her room and it was very easy to make. Hope you are all enjoying your summer so far!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far! Mine has been really nice and I am looking forward to going to the beach for for a few days this month and then to Montana to visit my daughter and son-in-law. Gonna be so nice to all be together again.I was so happy that I got to work with the Pink Paislee Starlight Collection this month for Thoughts 2 Paper and did some layouts featuring the Page Backgrounds found in the Thoughts 2 Paper store which are my absolute favorite to work with. You will love these! Plus lots of embellishments and ribbons/trims soon to be found in the store. Another addiction is the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive - this stuff works awesome and dries so fast!!

I am so excited and honored to be a part of the Thoughts 2 Paper Design Team along with a bunch other fabulous girls! There are so many new things planned for the online scrapbooking store and blog and I cannot wait to get started! For one, I am going to be working with the background templates and the other is still in the works and it is a very fun thing that I get to be apart of! There is also going to be a card kit and I am looking forward to having a turn with that too. I just found out some of the lines I will be working with and they are just beautiful! I really appreciate Liz, the owner, giving me this opportunity to design for her.

Also wanted to share a mini I am working on. It is a Travel album - 6x12 in size and I am stitching with my sewing machine on every page. I used kraft paper and lots of fun bright colors! I will be taking this with me on our trip to Montana to journal, add mementos, tickets, etc... so I do not forget anything. I am so excited to visit my daughter this summer...miss her so much. I am going be putting the album together with my bind-it-all. These are just a few of the pages....there are so many more! lol Lighting kinda stinks....sorry!

Also, I made this 6x12 mini basically using Teresa Collins. This is different for me as there are no bow and bulk to this...but I really loved making it and was so inspired by Teresa Collins to do it. I stuff hanging from the side are actually christmas ornaments that I got marked down at hobby lobby when I was in New York in January. My camera died so I will definitely be sharing this album as soon as I get photos taken of it.

Big Excitement for me & Anthologies Connection June Kit

I am so excited! Just saw the cover of Scrapbook Inspirations Ideas Book and I am one of the layouts featured on the front cover!! I was so surprised and happy - so was Chelsey since she is in the layout! lol It is a photo of her in the pool being crazy....really fun action shot I took of her. Loving my Anthologies Connection June kit! At first, I was like these are so not my colors and then before you knew it....I had created 3 layouts and a card that I just love! Lots of unique goodies in this kit too. You will love it!!

This weekend I am working on a 6x12 wedding album with Teresa Collins' Mr. and Mrs. line....love it! I have been going to the gym and tanning some....got to lose the 2 sizes I am up since last summer. Ugh!!! Why is it sooo hard to keep the weight off? Oh yeah. I forgot.....maybe it's because I LOVE to cook and go out to eat??? Gotta try to be good and eat healthy and work out and drink water. Anyways, all I want is to fit in my jeans and look halfway decent in a bathing suit. Yeah, like I am not asking for much!! lol

Had some fun creating some wall art for my daughters over the weekend. The canvas of Shelby and Scottie is actually so much better IRL because the photo which is printed on canvas looks really bright here and it is not...it blends perfectly. This was definitely different for me to make....not my usual style or colors. lol It is 16x20 in size and I really enjoyed making it. The wall hanging is for Chelsey's bedroom - fun times with her cousins - loving the shabby chic feel to this!

Faith....

You know I chose the word "Faith" as my word for the year. My daughter, Chelsey, chose the same word without even knowing I was choosing that word. I really want to have more faith in God and trust in him to know what is best for my family and myself. I tend to put things in his hand...but then kinda take them back. I am such a worrier....need to work on this!

Anyways, here is a layout of Shelby and Scottie as they are leaving the reception. I love this photo! It really is one of my favorites. I titled it with a "faith" bingo card and "journey" banner because as they embark on their journey in life together they are going to need a lot of faith. I loved how pretty and soft this layout came out...I think this may be my new favorite!

Been watching a lot of Glee lately. I got the first season as one of my mother's day gifts and Chelsey and I really enjoyed watching it. Great singing and dancing. Also, doing good at the gym and eating healthier.....need to go down 2 sizes...so I am working hard.

Wedding layouts and more....

I had such a wonderful time at NSD at my lss! I also met some girls who were so sweet and let me use their cricuit...which I had never used before and I fell in love!! This is definitely on my list of things to have!! I did a layout of Charlie and I dancing at Shelby and Scottie's wedding reception. It was so much fun. I love dancing with my hubby!

I also did a layout for Thoughts 2 Paper which is a new online scrapbooking store that my online friend Liz has opened! They have an awesome sketch up on their blog and I just had to try it. I wish her all the best!!

I did another canvas. This one similar to my last one because I wanted one for me! I tend to give everything away and sometimes wish I had kept one for me. Anyways I have bought some very large canvases 16x20 to start with and use lots of paint and 12x12 pictures that print out like a canvas from my lss - kinda gonna make them artsy!!

I am really loving making these! This is for Chelsey's bedroom and it's a photo of her and her cousins at the beach that I took last month. I am planning on making another one for her this weekend and one for my other daughter in Montana when Cheryl and I go to National Scrapbooking Day at the Scrappy Boutique. She is going to make some for Mother's Day too. Today is day 5 at the gym! I joined with Chelsey and Charlie and I am loving it. Got the tanning package too...and tanned for the first time yesterday. Trying to get in shape and healthier.

Birthday Card Booklet.........

I made this cute little birthday card booklet for Shelby for her 20th birthday and sent it to her in Montana. The fun thing was that she opened her presents on Skype and we got to watch her!! It is 6x8 in size and I made pockets or used envelopes to hold gift cards. She loved it and had fun opening each envelope and finding gift cards for ITunes, Starbucks, movies, Macaroni Grill, Target and even some moola to spend!!

Made something new out of something old....

So last night I am cleaning up and getting rid of some junk and I was headed out to the garage with this 8x10 canvas of a rooster to throw away. And, then I thought to myself, I could make something out of this and went into my scrapbooking room and used one of my favorite photos that I took of Shelby & Scottie because it was just after they were pronouced man and wife and had walked out of the church to another room to wait to take picture and I love how they shared this special moment together. Anyways back the canvas....I used the new Webster's bloomers....I LOVE LOVE LOVE these trims and some beautiful Prima flowers....two of my most favorite manufactures...plus my favorite Martha Stewart butterfly punch!

I absolutely LOVED the first kit from Anthologies Connection! So beautiful and filled with so much stuff. You can see the gallery here APRIL GALLERY where the design team made such wonderful creations from the kit and I am honestly so inspired by all of our different takes on the kit! Below you can I made the sweetest wall hanging of my girls out of the pre-cut cardboard cutouts that came in the kit, I also made two wedding layouts and a card for my mom's birthday this week! Such beautiful prima papers... lots of cutwork!! I also used lots of tattered angels glimmer mist for the alpha letters and prima flowers....

I am so excited about this kit from Anthologies Connection and I cannot wait for you all to see it on April 1st! It is just beautiful and filled with lots of goodies! Below is a sneak peek...loving everything about this kit. I am also participating in the Treasured Scrapbooking WLOM Contest and it is Week #3 and below is my layout for this. This has been fun and the challenges that really make you think.

I have softball games to go to this weekend, breakfast with my hubby tomorrow morning and then to my local scrapbook store and my nieces and nephew are coming to visit on Sunday...looking forward to a wonderful weekend! You all have one too!!

My layout for the WLOM challenge at TS. I loved watching these two along with the others in the wedding party practice their dance moves after the rehearsal dinner. It was so much fun and I took tons of pictures. So much laughing and happiness.

Exciting News........

So, after being gone from the blogging and scrapbooking world for so long, I am happy to be back! And, I have some exciting news to share too. First, I was selected to be a part of Anthologies Connection Design Team! They are a new kit club that is debuting their first kit April 2010 and they are also a scrapbooking store located in Texas. I am so excited to be a part of their design team and am looking forward to creating with their kits. It just made my day getting an email from Tracy!

And secondly, last week I was selected to be in the new Scrapbook Inspirations Book 2 by shimelle.com and she also asked for the photo on my layout because they also want to feature my photography as well as the layout! It is a really fun photo of Chelsey and she is just as excited as I am!

So Shelby and Scottie got married in November 2009 and it was such a beautiful wedding!! So sweet and such a fun time! The sad part is she moved to Montana.....way too far from Florida. :( I did get to visit them last month and just loved seeing her again...I missed her so much! Scottie is such a sweet guy and really blends so well with our family. We all love him. Chelsey started high school and is doing great and is playing on the JV Girls Softball team right now - she is now an only child - at least at home! Though she misses her sister lots....I think she secretly loves the extra attention. ;-)

It has been sooooo long since I have blogged....been so busy lately and just recently got back to my scrapbooking too. I missed it and it feels so good to be scrapping for me. Shelby is getting married this year and we have been so busy planning her beautiful wedding. It has been so much fun and we have got so much done. I still cannot believe she will be moving to Montana. I will miss her so much!! We really love Scottie and are happy for them. Chelsey starts high school Monday....can you believe it? In November she gets her permit....how is it my girls are growing up so fast. Charlie and I are getting old! LOL

Anyways, I resigned from Mosh Posh and Dreamgirls a couple of months ago....just could not handle everything with the wedding and needed the summer to spend with my family too. I did get the chance to go to CHA this year and met up with Tracey and had such a fun day with her....my first online friend that I got to meet. We had a blast and she introduced me to Glimmer Mist/Tattered Angels and I am now hooked!! Love that stuff!!

I also recently have lost quite a bit of weight. I had gained so much especially since my surgery last summer and I am so much happier and for the first time in years and I mean years.....I am wearing jeans.....size 10! I need to keep up with exercising...been slacking lately and work out more. It feels so good though and I definitely want to get to an 8 before Shelby's wedding.

A couple of layouts I have done recently of Shelby and Scottie.....these are some of the pictures I took of them....and I made two 12x12 albums...one for them and one for us.

Also a picture of Chelsey and I that we took of ourselves together! She is such a cutie and I love having her in my life.....and she is stuck being an only child for the next few years...so she has all our attention whether she wants it or not! LOL

My Daughter is Engaged!!!!

My sweet little daughter, Shelby is engaged to Scottie!! It was the sweetest thing....he came and talked to Charlie and I first and then surprised her last Sunday night! We are so happy and now planning a big wedding! Scottie is in the airforce and they will be moving to Montana so that is the only sad thing. But, we have always wanted to visit there! We are very happy as they have been the best of friends for a couple of years and just fell in love. He is such a great guy and we are happy to have him for a son-in-law.
Thought I share a few photos - on from the night they got engaged and the other two were a few days before when she was at his graduation in Texas.

I have just been a scrapping lately!!! Lots of new kits to play with and challenges....so this will be very layout heavy!!

Did the first two layouts for my challenge at Treasured Scrapbooking and just had fun using some of my new goodies from my Whimsy jar from Michelle and pretty things I have been wanting to use from my own stash for a while now!

The next are 4 layouts and card I made using May's Mosh Posh Kit....lots of new Lily Bee Designs papers and some awesome Sass too!! Love this pretty kit and the add-ons. Also, they are having a Guest Designer Call for June and are having a 4-year Anniversary month for may....check 'em out girls!!

The next two layouts are from my Treasured Scrapbooking kit for May (my last month on the DT after serving two 6 months terms.....sad to say good-bye, but I love all the girls there and will be there chatting and doing the new challenges each month)!! Also, they are having a DT call right now and let me tell you, Leslie puts together the most wonderful kits!!
I love these new Bobunny, JillyBean and Pink Paislee papers.....so pretty!!

I also did this one using the Treasured Scrapbooking kit but combined it with my Dreamgirls challenge!! A layout about your mom, being a mom, etc!! Go check it out girls.....always awesome prizes from Dreamgirls!!

Today is a beautiful day outside - not too hot - just perfect! I have nothing really planned for the weekend except my mom coming for dinner and possiby spending the night before she heads to the beach to stay with my sister for a few days. Thursday night while Chelsey was stealing third base when the girl tagged her and let me tell you she was a very big girl - well, Chelsey actually went up in the air a little and fell on her hip really hard and kind of twisted. We took her to the emergency room, everyone thought it was a dislocated hip and after x-rays it ended up being sprained/strained....anyways she is on pain meds and crutches....still in a lot of pain too. We will take her to our own doctor this week too for a second opinion. It was so sad to watch her cry like that, so many had come to watch her at the game, she pitched real good, got a beautiful triple and then this happens. Earlier that day she had her track meet and did five events.....I think I got some pretty good pictures of her doing the hurdles too! And, then this happens......so sad to see my little girl hurt. Hopefully, she will heal quick! Keep her in your prayers please!

Treasured Scrapbooking APril Kit reveal, Dreamgirls new challenge and my TS challenge...been scrapping like crazy lately!! LOL I also took some action shots of my daughter playing softball and I cannot wait to scrap those too. Shelby came back from Texas and took some cute photos while there and I used one of them on my challenge for TS. I think this is one of my favorite layouts too. They are so cute together and seem so happy!
This is picture of Charlie and me that I took of us before we went out to Cancun Cafe a couple of weeks ago - we had a fun time together! I used the April Kit #1 from TS - lots of cut work with these papers in the kit.
My oldest, Shelby, took this picture of Chelsey and my niece while they were at Animal Kingdom last summer. As you can see if you look closely, Chelsey snuck behind the fence into the exhibit! ANd those cute litte stamps come in a tin with lots more of them - they are gel-a-tins - super super cute!
And, this is for the new Dreamgirls challenge - love this picture of my mom - in real life it is so bright and pretty but I had such a hard time getting a good picture of this layout! Check out the new challenge over there and prizes!

Treasured Scrapbooking Crop.......

It's the Women In History Crop to celebrate Women's History Month!! I chose to do Martha Stewart and you had to use her catchphrase, "It's a good thing" and her colors from her show/website (orange, blue, green and yellow) And here is my take on the challenge. I really had fun with these colors - so summery! There are some awesome challenges and prizes over there this weekend so head on over if you feel like cropping with a fun bunch of girls!!
I have a nice weekend plan, it's supposed to be sunny too. Tonight, Chelsey is going to a rodeo and Shelby is going to the midnight release of Twilight with a bunch of friends to get the DVD at Borders. Going to my mom and dad's tomorrow night for Chinese and to say good-bye to my sister and her kids who are heading back to Texas! Gonna miss them because we wont see them again until June!

Today, I am heading to my mom and dad's for a barbecue - my sister and family are here from Texas and everyone is going.....except Shelby, she has to work. :-( My Mom has been working hard in her garden and yard and I am looking forward to taking some pictures because it is gorgeous outside. Love spending time with the family - we always have a good time!

This first layout is for the dreamgirls challenge #24 - can you believe it - 24 challenges already??!! The title had to be "If I were a rich girl", use green somewhere and bling on your layout. I decided to ask my girls separately what 3 things they would want if they were a rich girl and these are their answers. This was a fun layout to make!
This is my layout and card for the Treasured Scrapbooking 15th reveal - this was such a fun kit and I really enjoyed those prima rubons - so bright and pretty!

Been busy scrapping ALOT lately. Did these four layouts with the Mosh Posh March Kit...lots of fun stuff here! I also did some journaling to my daughters on the layouts of them. Been trying to do this more lately. Nothing much new in my life, Chelsey been playing a lot of softball and doing great in school, Shelby is on spring break getting ready to take another trip to Texas to see Scott and Charlie and I have been spending a lot of time together and we all made it to church last week - YAY!! Life is good........thank God. Hope you have a fabulous week!

So yesterday my daughter, Chelsey had her first softball game of the season and they won 7-1!! She pitched awesome - 4 innings and struck out 10 girls - pretty good for a girl who has not practiced much for a few weeks due to a shoulder injury. I was the proud mom and of course, Charlie was pretty happy too and really loves coaching her. He seems to have a pretty good team again this year and Chelsey is happy with her teammates. So, softball has officially started again in our house which means busy busy busy!!

I actually did the first layout for the Dreamgirls Challenge using this kit. The new Dreamgirls Challenge is up - so go check it out! Love these new Prima "Mommy & Me" papers and rubons. The owls, leaves and flowers are so adorable and mixed with the new Pebbles, Inc. papers makes some fun bright stuff. And, this is my challenge at Treasured Scrapbooking for March.....use 3 different papers, 3 trims and 3 words in your title. Had fun with sewing machine again here. And, these urban lily papers were perfect to cut those flowers out of.

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Charlie and I relaxed a lot this weekend, had my mom over for lunch yesterday, Chelsey went to the fair and Shelby has been working, and went to church this morning. Always good to start my week that way.

I scrapbooked some too and used some of my new Making Memories Chloe goodies, along with some of Pink Paislee cupcake line and then Cheryl picked me up some of the new Jenni Bowlin chipboard buttons and I just had to add them to my pages. They are so cute.
The first one is Shelby and Scottie. She just came back from visiting him in Texas and they took some fun pictures. The bottom picture is a picture of them the night before he left for the air force.

The second one is Chelsey and her boyfriend riding our bicycle built for two!! My grandfather gave us this almost 20 years ago and we still all love it. It is so much fun and we always get stopped when riding it because people just love them. Good old fashioned fun!

So, my oldest daughter, Shelby flew to Texas to see her best friend and visit my sister and her family. This was her first trip by herself and I was very nervous, especially with her switching planes and staying in a hotel by herself, etc... She did great - I did too! Being the big worrier that I am. She had a wonderful time with Scottie - loved going to his graduation (he's in the airforce) and spending time with him. My sister and her family picked her up and she got to spend 2 days with them too. I think I never prayed so hard as I did for her while she was gone. Thank God she had a wonderful time.

I cannot believe how much she is growing up and the good choices she has been making. We had a nice family dinner last night and it is good to have her home.

Used lots of new goodies on my layout - many from my Secret Cupid - Karen sent me some very pretty stuff for the swap - Thanks again!! ;-)

Okay, Treasured Scrapbooking is doing the "We love our Members Contest" and this is the first one. I wanted to play along too. Of course, I goofed it up and added black - good thing I am not in it for real!! LOL

It was so much fun making this layout last night - you had to use the title "Life is like a box of Chocolates", pink/red/brown/cream/whites colors (no black - my goof-up), 3 hearts, at least one bow and wings. Got to use the MM heart that I have had on my bulletin board forever! Life is definitely like a box of chocolates with my two daughters - love these two too!

February's Treasured Scrapbooking and Dreamgirls reveals......

Absolutely LOVE Treasured Scrapbooking's Kits for February - I used Kit #1 on the first two layouts! The first is my daughter Chelsey with her boyfriend on Halloween - first time I have ever scrapbooked about her having a boyfriend. The second one is both of my daughters on Christmas Eve - love this one so much. I also did this in for the Dreamgirls challenge - you really need to head over there and check out the layouts for this challenges - lots of acrylic wall hangings - so pretty! Always awesome prizes too!

This is banner I made with the Jenni Bowlin banner chipboard - had a heck of time getting a good picture but I sure had fun making this. It is also my challenge over at Treasured Scrapbooking this month - to make anything you want using the word, "LOVE" and the colors" red & white". Scrapbook Trends requested a graduation layout that I did of my daughter and her friends!!! I am sooooo excited because it is such a fun photo of them all! It will come out in their June 2009 issue.

I also wanted to share a mini that I made using the Mosh Posh January Kit - lots of yummy stuff in this kit. This was Chelsey's birthday party with the family at Chevy's and since it was the day before Thanksgiving they made her a turkey balloon hat which she kept on the whole time. She turned 14. I, unforuntately missed her birthday party because I was home with a stomach flu and fever - very sick!! Thank God Charlie was able to handle everything, picked up the giant chocolate chip cookie, lunch at Chevy's with everyone and then took Chelsey and her friends to Disney Quest later on that night for some more fun.

a little late. I am really looking forward this new year, while I am not really a new years resolution girl....I did make some goals that I really need to work on. So, of course I did a layout about them for Mosh Posh. I also did a fun layout using the Treasured Scrapbooking Kit #2 of my sisters and I that was taken when we went to Disney over Thanksgiving break - it was such a fun time!
I also wanted to share this sweet little photo of my daughters taken Christmas before opening presents. We had to wait until 4pm to open them because my hubby had to work. :-( So, they had time to get dressed and wear their new Hollister hoodies from grandma that they had received the night before. Note the sweet little present wrapped in brown paper with designs that my hubby and my darling daughter, Chesely made me this year. My husband always makes me at least one present that he designs the wrapping paper for me and this year Chelsey joined in too. Super cute!
Also, last but not least, I received this award from Aimee a.k.a. Carolinagirl! Which was such a nice surprise. We have become good friends online and are having fun on Treasured Scrapbooking and Mosh Posh together. Check out her blog as she just made her first Design Team.

December is upon us.......

Hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving!! We were actually all quite sick - which stinks! Now to get ready for Christmas - my favorite time of the year. I have so much to do it and because I did not get the usual stuff done the week I was off for Thanksgiving....I will be working very hard this week to get my decorating all done, shopping, plan my cookie exchange, make my Christmas cards - yep, this year Cheryl and I are attempting to make them!, and I wanted to make my mom an acrylic album with photos of my grandarents. So much to do!

Just wanted to share a few layouts that I have worked on lately. The first one has a mosiac of pictures that I took of some of the christmas decroations in my house last year. It is a challenge over at Treasured Scrapbooking. There are so many fun Christmas challenges over there!

Also, I took Lisa Pace's 12 days of CHristmas workshop and this is the snowman that I made. It was so much fun to make and I really need a better picture but it was overcast, rainy and cold. Her classes are so much fun and I need to make some more goodies for Christmas still.

I had the privilege of designing with the December Kit #1 from Treasured Scrapbooking this month and I just love the colors, papers and embellies in this one - both kits are just chock full of Jenni Bowlin, Kaiser Kraft, Melissa Frances, 7 gyspies, etc.......beautiful stuff there! I have so much more to make still. I have a mini almost finished - use my new pink bind-it-all for the first time too!

25 days of Christmas and Dreamgirls.......

So after seeing Ali Edwards 25 days of Christmas last year and loving it.....Michelle on Treasured Scrapbooking challenged us all to make one. It was just the push I needed, so Saturday afternoon and evening I dug into my old stash of Christmas goodies with a little bit of new too, used some leftover 7 Gypsie pages from an 8x8 mini album and made my 25 Days of Christmas Mini. It was so much fun to make and I am so happy with how it turned out. I just need to get some rings to bind it together. But now come December 1st, I am ready to journal and add photos from each day of the month to help catch this spetacular season - Christmas. I just love this time of year!!

Also, Dreamgirls has their next challenge posted and you have to use metal, a mask and thankful. I opted not to use a photo this time and just journaled about what I am thankful for. Also used up some of my basic grey chipboard that has been sitting around. There are two prizes this month - each worth $50 from Midnight Oils Scrapbooking. Exciting News to share.......

I have been gone from here for sooo long! Just been so busy keeping up with life and also with the scrapbooking boards I belong too. I've been scrapbooking a whole bunch, making lots of minis, layouts and cards; going to my daughter's soccer and softball games and had family visiting from upstate NY, etc... Life just gets crazy sometimes!

I do have some exciting news to share and that is that today I received an email from Scrapbook Trends and they want one of my cards for their April 2009 idea book. I am so excited!

Also, both Treasured Scrapbooking and Mosh Posh kits have asked me to design for them for another 6 month term!! I am truly honored and so looking forward to another wonderful term with both of them. If you have not checked out the kits at both of these sites - you just have too!! And, let me tell you - you wont want to miss December - both have gorgeous new kits coming!!

The layout below is a photo of my grandfather, Poppy, taken in 1942 that I made with the Treasured Scrapbooking November Kit #2. The pails I made using the Prima buckets - was super fun and easy to do. And the card I made on National Card Making Day using the October Mosh Posh Kit. Love that My Minds Eye stamp!!!

A weeks vacation - to do nothing!!

I am off the next week - so happy!! We do not have anything planned - hubby is off too - but are just going to relax, do some stuff around the house, lay by the pool, maybe go to disney, beach, etc...... No where we have to be and that will be nice. I plan on digging into my new scrapbooking kit for Treasured Scrapbooking - it is absolutely gorgeous - totally me!!

Chesley has made the soccer team at school once again and softball has started up too. Charlie is the coach - she really loves her dad coaching her!! And, she is a very good pitcher too - they both work hard at it.

Shelby is so busy with college and she is really liking it. Which is good! I wish she studied more! LOL She is looking to buy a new car within the next few months too - trying to save - with a little help from mom and dad too.

Don't you just love it?? My friend, Julie, aka Juliesaddiction, made it for me! It was a surprise and I did not know it until she put it on the message boards for me and she even mailed it to me so I am hanging it in my scrapbook room. I really love it and cannot believe how it is "me" all the way...from the flowers, pom poms, trim, colors and just overall style - totally me!! I love how she put the wings and little crown on my name too! THANK YOU JULIE!!! I really appreciate this sooo much and love it!!

Thought I'd share a few layouts I made for Mosh Posh and a wall hanging I made too for a challenge on Treasured Scrapbooking.

Also, this is a layout I did this past Monday. On Tuesday morning, my grandmother - Mama - passed away in her sleep and went to heaven. She was 92 years old and I loved her sooo much. I visited her every week at my parents house because she lived with them. She was a beautiful artist and the most wonderful person - we were very close and I will miss her very much. Her funeral was yesterday and it was just amazing how many lives she has touched. Before she became sick the last few years - we shopped and baked and cooked and did crafts together all the time. She was one of my very best friends.

A little mini I made with my August Treasured Scrapbooking kit for my sister and brother in law in upstate NY. I hope they like it as much I do. Sometimes it's hard to part with the stuff we make and we hope they appreciate the time we put into the gift.

I have been so tired lately and am looking forward to a 4-day weekend!! Today, I am heading off to my local scrapbook store because....I won a prize!! Don't know what it is but I love scrapbooking goodies! And, I still have a store credit for the scrapbooking garage sale back in June to use so that will be fun too! I am also meeting my mom for lunch and some shopping - my first outing in soooo long!

My daughter started college - growing up so fast and my youngest 8th grade - this year they had to wear uniforms...but being that she can wear jeans and polos (AE, Aero, hollister, etc...) she is very happy!

My first Publication

I was so excited to have my first publication in Scrapbook Trends Vacation and they also cropped my photo of my darling daughters and used that on another page!! I was so excited!

Sorry I have not blogged in so long. I have had some health issues, actually had a pace maker put in and I am having a tougher time recovering then I thought. Just keeping up with my DT resonsiblities has been tough...thank God that they were so understanding when I was missing in action.

I'll be back later on this week with some new fun things I have made. I need to get back to the blogging world. ;-)

I have been so busy lately and neglecting this blog! Summer is such a busy time and when I am not running around having fun, enjoying the pool and having company.....I am scrapbooking and reading! I love summers and you would think that having 3 day weekends for the whole summer would give me more time to blog...but, it hasn't! :-(

Anyways, below is my favorite layout that I did for Treasured Scrapbooking using the July #1 kit. This kit has so much fun stuff in it and it so so bright and fun! I have made 5 layouts so far and still want to make a mini for my SIL. Go on over and check out the other DT's creations! There are also some fun challenges going on over there too!!

And, this is my favorite layout I did for Mosh Posh using their July Kit. This is a beautiful kit, full of lots of flowers, butterflies and ladybugs.....plus the cute little mini alphas! These are my 3 nieces running in my mom's backyard! Too cute!

Also, the next Dreamgirls Challenge is up and it is to do some "raw journaling". I decided to scrapbook about my grandfather that passed away 1 1/2 years ago. Please go check out the wonderful layouts the other DT did and the wonderful RAK you could win. Promise to be back soon!!

The new Dreamgirls challenge is up!! The prize is a whole kit from magistical memories and it includes a mini album too (picture below my layout). You can check out the DT's take on the challenge at Dreamgirls . You had to scrap a first time and use real or faux stitching and ribbon/trim. I decided to do it about my first can of diet coke. I absolutely love diet coke and drink way too many cans per day and have been drinking it for 18 years - every day! Here is my take on the challenge.

Here a few fun pictures of her from graduation. The top one she is with her bestfriend and boyfriend. They are making a 2008 sign. And the second one - she had already received her diploma and is on the main floor walking back to her seat. We are so proud of her!! I cannot wait to scrapbook these and all the others...plus party pictures tomorrw. I just ordered a big beautiful graduation cake too...yummy!

Just her being silly after we got home from the National Honor Society awards night. She said, "Mom, take a picture of me doing a cartwheel?" and I was like, "No." "Please?" So, I said, "okay, I'll just take one." Definitely, not very ladylike, but kind of funny too! You can dress 'em up, but you can't take them anywhere! ;-)

Also, here is another prom layout of Shelby and her boyfriend using a sketch by Erika over at Simply Obsessed! Love these colors together.
I have been working hard on my Mosh Posh DT layouts....hope to be able to show them to you all in the next few days. It's a sweet kit!

Dreamgirls Challenge is up & my first Treasured Scrapbooking Challenge

The Dreamgirls challenge is up. For this one you need to journal in 5 spots on your layout and doodle somewhere on it. I did this one of my daughter turning 13 - I just journaled in the circle in the patter paper and doodled with a pink paint pen around them. Very fun and easy!! Feeling happy and blessed.....

First of all my oldest daughter, Shelby, is graduating from High School on Friday night!!! She also received a scholarship to help with the cost of college!! We are so happy!!! This is a picture of her taken on her last day of high school....she looks excited and pretty!!

Also, my other daughter, Chelsey, got inducted into the National Honor Society!! It was such a nice ceremony and we were very excited and so proud of her!

These are a few of her friends that were inducted into the NHS with her. On another note...Chelsey's softball team, which my husband coaches is top team once again this year! This weekend, after graduation on Friday night, they start playing top team tournament. I have been so busy scrapbooking lately, but can't post anything yet - until after the first. I am loving all my new DT responsibilities. I have been cleaning my scrapbooking room and it's looking really good - so organized.....finally, after the mess it has been since January.

Mosh Posh Design Team and a new little mini...

Tonight, I got a call from Kristen at Mosh Posh Kits ,and she asked me to be on her design team!!! I could not believe it!! I was so excitied and I am so honored to be chosen!! Their kits are so much fun and just full of the latest scrapbooking goodies!! She totally made my day....my week....the next 6 months, because that is how long I get to be on the DT for!!!

I had sooo much fun doing this maya road mini. I had been wanting to make it for so long and always thought that I would use black and white photos...but these garden pictures taken in my mother's garden just had to be in color! Have a wonderful week!

I am so excited!!!! It is a 6 month term and everyone over there is just so much fun!!! This is my first Design Team spot - before I had only been a guest designer!! After an awful week - something wonderful happened!!!! YAY!! Did this layout for the new dreamgirls challenge dreamgirls challenge. You have got to check it out - the RAK for this challenge is a whole kit!!!!! In this challenge you have to scrapbook something that you are proud of and use chipboard and sticker(s). I enjoyed scrapbooking this layout of my daughter Shelby, she may drive me nuts sometimes, like I am sure all 18 year old daughters can, but I love her very much and I am so proud of her!!!

The new Dream Girls Challenge is up and it is a "Reality Theme". You pick your favorite Reality Show, but the twist is you have to add some felt and stamping to your layout! I had a lot of fun with this one. I also used three clay artsy buttons that Teresa My Organized Mess made and sent me. I just love them!!! Thanks Teresa!!

Also, on another note, Vintage Girl at Heart and I made through Round 1 at Scrapper's Haven Iron Chef IV contest so now we get to participate in Round 2. We both won first in our individual group too! Fun, Fun!!!!

Happy 18th Birthday Shelby!! She is the sweetest girl with such a big heart! So much going on for her, turning 18, graduating from high school, prom, senior night, starting college, etc.... Lots of changes and fun stuff happening for her this year. We are very proud of her and love her very much.

On another note, I cannot wait to scrapbook this picture I took of her last week at my moms!! Ideas already forming!

Just a quick one I did this weekend. Glenda over at Scrapper's Haven had a challenge and step by step to make these paper posies. They were fun to make but of course, I ended up getting stickles on just about everything!

Had a busy weekend - lots of kids at my house from Thursday night until this morning when I left for work. I am tired, but off to my visit my parents and grandmother tonight. Pasta with Shrimp for dinner...yummy!

I can't let you know what yet....but it going to lots of fun and I am very excited!!! I can't wait to tell you all.

Last night, I went to my very good friend, Sharron's house aka vintage girl at heart, and we got some scrapbooking done. We are going to try to do this weekly. But, first off we went to our lss and bought some sweet little maya road flowers and some fancy pants. She also loved the new Daisy Bucket! We are probably bad for each other because we both LOVE to shop for scrapbooking supplies - be it online or at our lss. It was a very fun and productive night and we both got a lot done! Of course, you can never go to Sharron's home and she does not have wonderul scrapbooking goodies to give - lots of trims, maya road flower box, flowers, vintage jars with pearls and what not! And her house, all decorated for easter - vintage style!!

The first layout is picture taken in 1985 of my hubby and I - I have never scrapbooked this picture and it is one of my favorite!

The next is two pictures taken from my mom's garden by Sharron - so pretty. I am planning on making a mini for her of her garden party last week - will share more late.
And then another of my daughter Chesley - she loves taking pictures!

First of all, a Very Big "Thank You" to Scrapper's Haven for choosing as their guest Designer for March! I used My Minds Eye and BoBunny pattern paper - so pretty!! The grungeboard was new for me and I enjoyed inking, painting and sparkling it up. These pretty alpha stickers are called "Darling" by MME and worked wonderfully with my layouts. I also did a mini album and have enough goodies left to do another layout(which I will tonight!). Also, used lots of prima flowers too!

You Should go over and sign up for the Iron Chef at Scrapper's Haven. It starts the end of the month and there are going to be a bunch of fun challenges and the winner receives a Clip-it-up (top and bottom!). WoW!! Go over and check out the rules on the message board - it's going to be fun!
